The main production activity of Byko-Lat is further processing of sawn softwoods by kiln drying, planning into structural dimensions or profiles like deckboard, cladding, flooring etc, strength grading, pressure treatment, painting and distribution across Europe.
Valmiera site operates 5 planing lines, 24 drying chambers, 3 grading and re-sawing lines with total production capacity of 20’000 m³/month. Sales in 2018 around 200’000 m³.
Four vacuum pressure treatment tanks enable us to offer green and brow Tanalith E and VACSOL Aqua Blue treatments. Total treatment capacity in 2017 was 15'000 m3 / month- enough to offer all of Valmiera output treated and making us the largest timber treatment facility in the Baltic States.
Main markets include the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Iceland.
